Goals

Gentle Care.
Clear Communication.  Outstanding Results.

At Setter Periodontics and Dental Implants, we are not in the dental business working with people, we are in the people business working in dentistry.  We strive to be your partner in oral health and here are a few reasons why we are different.

We strive to help patients KEEP THEIR TEETH

We believe that the best “implant” is the tooth you have.  Periodontists specialize in the art and science of saving teeth.  Whether you have been diagnosed with gum disease or a broken tooth, we have a variety of treatment options that can be specifically catered to each situation.  Our specialized focus also enables us to perform minimally invasive treatments to get our patients healthy as quickly and easily as possible.

Tooth replacement options tailored to your needs DENTAL IMPLANTS

To address missing or non-restorable teeth, our team has advanced training and technology for all aspects of dental implant treatments.  From tooth removal to the final visit, we can provide the communication, treatment, and care to make your experience as easy as possible.

Dentistry that can KEEP YOU COMFORTABLE

We believe that all patients should be able to eat, brush, and smile in comfort.  We also realize that dental treatment can create fear and anxiety which can prevent patients from receiving the care they want and need.  Our goal is to be your partner in oral health from your first visit until your last.  During procedures, we offer several safe options for sedation and anxiety management.  Our staff is highly trained in nitrous oxide, oral, and IV conscious sedation and all options can be discussed in detail for your specific needs.

We focus on the simplest, least invasive solutions.

Our office takes pride in seeking the newest treatments and technology to ensure the highest level of care with minimal invasiveness. We offer non-surgical endoscope (tiny camera) therapy to treat gum disease, incision-free surgery using a periodontal laser, and Pinhole-type gum recession treatment just to name a few.  Read more about our minimally invasive treatments HERE.

Public Health and Disinfection

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it is both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.

  • We have state-of-the-art Surgically Clean Air filters to around our office.  These filters recycle the air every 4-6 minutes and provide HEPA/UV filtration for bacteria and viruses.

  • We are frequently disinfecting all common surfaces such as door handles, knobs, and counters both in the treatment rooms and the reception area throughout the day.

  • We ask that every patient thoroughly wash/sanitize his or her hands when entering. We have placed hand sanitizer dispensers around the office for use as needed. We will also prepare a pre-appointment mouth rinse and face masks will be available for each patient.

Our staff and doctors sanitize their hands in the presence of the patient at the beginning of every visit.  New masks, gloves, and PPE are used for each appointment and all surfaces, hoses, and electronics are covered with plastic wrap for each visit.

Our office has always used the highest level of Personal Protective Equipment and we will continue to do so.  Patients will see different styles of masks/shields as well as additional protective equipment we may use during the procedures.

We are happy to answer any questions regarding our disinfection and sterilization policies and look forward to making every visit to our office safe, comfortable, and effective.
